Sabotaging Political Polls

If a pollster asks who you’re backing in the Presidential election, lie to them and help inflate the poll numbers for your candidate’s opponent.  This will make your candidate work harder to win over undecided voters and cause the other candidate to coast to the finish line, only to find they aren’t the one who gets to break the paper ribbon.

  1. I generally lie as a rule to pollsters and marketeers. I prefer to skew their data in ways that make it useless.

    If only I could get my code to stop doing the same thing to me.

  2. Indeed this could be why polls seem to be insanely inaccurate. For example, how could 27% of Americans actually approve of W? I think this percentage has to be closer to -280%.
